Where Youth Rights Take Flight
Today we went to the Museum of Capitalism, an exhibition at Parsons School of Design (my alma mater!) It was a great exhibition that asks viewers to imagine a future where capitalism is gone and we’re looking back at artifacts from the past.
By far, our group liked two interactive pieces the best: 1) a hand crank vending machine that spits out pennies at the rate of minimum wage in New York City in 2019 (1¢ / ~4 seconds), 2) a kiosk where you are allowed to break things and shove them into plastic bottles to make your own capitalist garbage art.
Then we went to Union Square Park and played Friday the 13th in the playground.
